It is in everyone's interests to make lifelong learning an integral part of our community. Businesses are aware as never before that links with schools and colleges, together with ongoing learning, training and development for their employees, are essential factors in building and maintaining economic competitiveness.

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Learning Partnership

  • encouraging more people to learn
  • increasing attainment
  • improving standards
  • meeting the skills challenge
  • encouraging business involvement in continuous development

Learning is for life, not just for schooldays, and the Partnership is a major initiative to coordinate education and training opportunities for people as they approach school-leaving age and the years ahead. It brings together representatives from both the public and private sectors in a single strategic body that aims to pool resources and share experiences to promote and develop lifelong learning and achievement.

Education and Training Targets reflect the Partnership's dual ambition to:

  • improve the well-being of people living in the borough
  • boost the competitiveness and strength of local businesses
